The OBRA continues to offer a Stallion Incentive Program, started last year.

There are many great quarter horse stallions in the province than ever before.
In order to recognize and promote them, the OBRA Stallion Incentive Program will operate as follows: $200 buys a nomination for a stallion into the program. Note that nominations can be registered either by the owner of a stallion or the owner of its offspring.

At the end of the season, the owner of the leading point earner's sire will get an OBRA Leading Stallion belt buckle as will the top point-earning horse owner.
Points for offspring will be considered from all classes and combined. Points on the stallion will be then combined points of all his offspring in OBRA competition. If 10 or more stallions are nominated, there will be cash awards as well.

In addition, the stallion owner will get a stud advertisement link on this special Stallion Incentive Fund page on our website until April of 2011, a listing each month in our newsletter in The Rider, and the benefit of a top listing in the incentive fund for barrel horses.
The web link alone is worth the $200 nomination fee as barrel racers will have a direct link to your stud's services.

Also, Incentive Fund qualified horses will be recognized during shows as well as their nominated sire to promote the stallion and the Incentive Fund program.

Competitors are encouraged to contact the owners of the stud their horses were sired by to make them aware of this program.
