Death Notice It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Joseph "Joe" Michael McCormick on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Trillium Villa Nursing Home surrounded by his loved ones. Joe was born in Seaforth, ON , April 11, 1930. Joe loved people and most importantly loved making them laugh with his witty personality. Joešs favorite pastime was spending time with his family, telling stories and dancing with his wife Sharon. Joe is survived by his wife and best friend Sharon (Latimer) (McShea) McCormick. His children, Douglas (Bobby Jo) McCormick of Caledon, ON, John McCormick of Fort Erie, ON , and Lisa McCormick of Waterloo, ON, and their mother Mary McCormick of Waterloo. His stepchildren Michele (Craig) Wilcox, Lynn Fader (Barry Buckle), Laurie (Chris) Wilcocks, and Steve (Lisa) McShea all of Sarnia, ON. His grandchildren, Mason and Sydney McCormick, Joshua and Makayla Taylor, Carley and Shelby Wilcox, Jaymie, Kylie and Jeremy Fader, Jake and Dani Wilcocks, Myles and Lexi McShea. Joe is survived by his sister Jeannette (Edward) Saltarski of London, ON, and several nieces and nephews. Joe is predeceased by his mother Clara (Carriere) McCormick and his father John McCormick. Many thanks to the Sarnia Alzheimer's Society, Dr. Gamble, Nurses and all the staff at Trillium Villa Nursing Home for their wonderful loving care and concern. To all who helped us through this painful time with their prayers and phone calls. May God bless all of you. Cremation has taken place. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 3:00-5:00pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, ON. A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedicts Roman Catholic Church, 1011 Oak Ave, Sarnia. Entombment of ashes will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family requests charitable donations be made to the Alzheimer's Society Visitation Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 3:00-5:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, ON.
