VIP Membership

VIP Membership is new this year. A $350 VIP membership gives you two single memberships for married couples, or replaces an individual or family membership. The concept behind the VIP Membership Program is to give the benefit of sponsorship to regular members who do not own a business or offers a service and would not get any value out of an OBRA sponsorship. What VIP members will get, however, is VIP treatment at the shows with a VIP parking decal for preferred parking and complimentary continental breakfasts at two-day shows. Preferred, no hassle stalling at the finals, and a slot to compete in a special 2-D, one-second split VIP run at the finals for a saddle (1D) belt buckle (2D) with NO ENTRY FEE. It also gives you wrist band access to free refreshments at the finals in a special OBRA CafŽ that will open to all members at the 2010 finals. Plus you get satisfaction of supporting Ontario's longest running barrel racing association and helping to make it a success.

Permits:

One-day memberships, also known as Permits, will be $15.00 per day. This will allow previously non-member horse/rider combinations to compete in OBRA event(s) at one show after paying the appropriate entry fee(s). Permit holders do not receive points under any circumstances, nor, are they entitled to a newsletter/Rider. Permits are not allowed for OBRA Finals. Only two one-day memberships are allowed per rider, per year. Two permits are allowed, per horse/rider combination, but a discounted full membership will be allowed only as an alternative to the first permit purchased.

Liability Insurance
In 2010 the OBRA is requiring that each member have proof of liability insurance. Insurance can be obtained through the OEF, just by becoming an OEF member! With your membership you receive: $5,000,000 liability insurance, "WHOA!" - the official newsletter, Ride Ontario - the member reward program, Rider, Instructor and Coaching certification programs, Ongoing education at their 3-day conference, OEF Apparel - ball caps, t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, etc. ... and much more!

It's worth becoming an OEF member!
